Each year, the University of Utah One-U Responsible Artificial Intelligence Initiative (One-U RAI) will recognize three individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing responsible AI. Awards will be presented at the annual symposium and publicized broadly.
There are awards for faculty members and graduate students or postdoctoral fellows, and no affiliation with the One-U RAI is necessary for the campus-wide awards. There is also an internal award for service and leadership within the One-U RAI.
Self-nominations are allowed with an encouragement for peer nominations. Nominations should be supported with a one-page statement highlighting the nominee's contributions in alignment with the award selection criteria. Nominations will be due September 20, 2026.
