INSCC Power Outage - July 22nd from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Persons working in the INSCC building may wish to adjust their work schedule during this time. 

All equipment in the INSCC machine room will need to be powered off. CHPC will keep the network gear up on battery power as long as the temperature stays within a safe range , or until the backup battery power is exhausted. We expect only those in the INSCC building to be directly affected.   Please note that if we are unable to keep the network gear up, all connectivity and access to resources (HPC clusters, VMs and VM services and home directory access) will be lost.

CAMPUS INTERRUPTION NOTICE

This is a notification of a planned interruption as a result of required service or repairs to equipment.

SYSTEM INTERRUPTED:

Electrical To: 019/INSCC - 

DATE: Wednesday July 22, 2015

TIME:  8:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M.

AREA AFFECTED:

 All electrical power to the building.  Lights, outlets, elevators, heating, cooling, air circulation, fume hoods, chilled water loop and all mechanical equipment. Emergency back up power it will be available to run.

PURPOSE:

 Install new high voltage switch and cables.

We regret any inconvenience caused by this interruption.  The time frame of this interruption is necessary to prevent further damage to equipment or a safety hazard to the building occupants.

Please notify all individuals on your staff who might be affected by this interruption.  They may need to make special arrangements to carry them over this period.
