Summer 2019 Computational & Data Science Research Opportunities @ MSU for Graduates & Undergraduates

For Undergraduates: NSF REU Site: Advanced Computational Research Experience for Students (ACRES) -  https://icer.msu.edu/
Spend 10 week at MSU this Summer!
Research areas include: computational chemistry, biology, biomechanics, astrophysics, mathematics, machine learning, earth science (seismology) and fluid dynamics.
Funding provided for round-trip travel to MSU, accommodation and meal plan. Participants also receive a stipend ($500 per week).

For Graduate Students: NSF IRES Site- China: Algorithms & Software for SUpercomputers with emerging aRchitEctures (ASSURE) - https://ires-assure.msu.edu/Spend 8 weeks in China this Summer!
Program dates: June 3 - Aug 9, 2019
Research areas include: Earth & Weather Systems, Advanced Manufacturing, Big Data and Machine Learning.
Funding is provided for student round trip travel to China, accommodation and meals, international health insurance and a stipend ($500 per week). PI travel support available for promising collaborations.
