All General Environment HPC Cluster Users

The power at the Downtown Data Center is experiencing outages due to the wind.  There have been 4 power drops in the last hour. Therefore the DDC team has decided to move to the backup generator power for stability and will do so in the next 15 minutes or so.

This will leave the general environment HPC clusters (notchpeak, kingspeak, lonepeak, ash and tangent) without power.   CHPC is in the process of shutting down these resources in preparation for the outage.

Please note this outage will not impact CHPC storage, virtual machines, or any portion of the protected environment, as all of these resources are on the generator backed up power.

We will provide updates as we have more news.
