CHPC ANNOUNCEMENT:  New Internal Clustered DTNs in the CHPC General Environment

Date Posted: January 3rd, 2022

CHPC now has a new set of DTNs for internal to campus transfers that will replace the current dtn03.chpc.utah.edu. The new nodes are intdtn0{1,2,3}.chpc.utah.edu.  The three new nodes are all connected at 10gbps.

Sam has also created a clustered Globus endpoint and a new Globus Collection for these DTNs.  The name of the collection is University of Utah -- CHPC Inter-Campus Clustered Endpoint

Information about these new DTNs has been added to the DTN page, Data Transfer Nodes, as well as the Globus page.

Please transition any usage of dtn03.chpc.utah.edu to these new internal transfer DTNs.  If you run into any issues, please let us know by sending a report to helpdesk@chpc.utah.edu.   Unless issues are reported, we plan on decommissioning the dtn03.chpc.utah.edu node in early February 2022.
