In this hands on talk we will show how to use Open OnDemand, a web portal that interfaces CHPC Linux clusters. We will start with a tour of the portal's features, including a file editor, queue explorer and job submitter, and then move on to interactive applications which allow for command free way to execute jobs on a cluster. Currently installed interactive applications include Ansys, Comsol, Jupyter notebook, Matlab, and Rstudio. We encourage everyone who is intimidated by the CHPC clusters Linux terminal interface to attend this lecture.
Please, bring a laptop with a wifi connection and have a CHPC user account.
